About ROCA

ROCA Counseling Associates Inc. provides professional counseling services for individuals, couples, and families whenever it is needed.  We approach each case with an independent evaluation to determine what is best at that time for that person. Our treatment approach is grounded in current therapeutic and medical research.

All counselors at ROCA are licensed by the state of Texas and hold Masters level degrees.

ROCA Counseling was founded in 1995 by Pam Abernethy with the a primary purpose of helping  those coping with oncology-related illnesses and their families. Over the years, hundreds of people benefited from her caring guidance and support. Pam saw every counseling session as an opportunity to share her faith and provide hope for those who needed it the most. Tragically, she lost her own battle with cancer in 2019. However, the mission of ROCA continues with her memory and the quality of care she exemplified as our guide.
